A security booth from Par-Kut International will be built to your order after you have discussed your security booth needs with one of the Par-Kut sales engineers. The initial stages of development include selection of your security booth size, style and options. Since the guard house or security booth is manufacture to your specifications, any and all facets of your current and future operation can be considered in the portable steel building design. For example, will your security booth be located off to the side of traffic at your perimeter swing gate or access control point, or between lanes? This question helps determine whether one or two doors are required, or if your security booth could use some sort of sliding windows for transactions or communication. Your physical location (city and state) are important factors in the security booth design as well. This information is used to determine, which building codes are to be followed to obtain any necessary engineering and/or state industrialized building program labels to assure local building departments of the code compliance of the Par-Kut factory assembled security booth. Energy code compliance is more and more important these days and will save the owner of the guard house money on operating costs. Some states require that a security booth or access control station must include a restroom unless a site plan can show sanitary facilities exist within a certain distance (say 500′) of the installation of the new security booth.

The size of the security booth is typically coordinated with the number of guards or security personnel staffing the post and/or anticipated visitors coming in.

The style of the booth can range from basic to elaborate and is ultimately a function of the customer’s planning process and budget. Naturally, the more architecturally enhanced security booths will carry a higher price tag. Since Par-Kut is located near Detroit, we can use a car analogy: we can provide you a Chevy, or a Cadillac. Butt glazed corners, curved ends, radius corners, standing seam hip roofs, brick veneers, tinted glass and custom designs are all available to the security booth designer or purchaser.

Once the features have been determined, and the P.O. has been awarded, a project specific security booth approval drawing is prepared and sent to the Par-Kut customer for review by all concerned, including the installer, to assure that all bases are covered and all goes smoothly. Par-Kut also invites our customers to our factory to see their security booth during the manufacturing process.
